Osprey 700 Max and S1 Robotic Pool Vacuums

Voluntary Product Recall

Wybotics has initiated a voluntary recall of specific batches of Osprey 700 Max and S1 robotic pool vacuums in cooperation with The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This recall is being initiated because certain batches of Osprey 700 Max and S1 robotic pool vacuums may overheat or ignite under specific conditions, posing a potential burn and fire hazard. For safety reasons, these products must be immediately discontinued from use and securely quarantined. Wybotics is offering consumers a free replacement product (WYBOT C2 robotic pool vacuum) for any affected unit they have purchased.

Wybotics will provide a free return label for consumers to send the recalled product back to Wybotics. Within 15 days of receiving the recalled pool vacuums, Wybotics will ship the replacement product.

This recall involves the following products:

Model Name/Number and Serial Numbers must be checked: If your pool vacuum matches both the model name/number and serial numbers listed below, it is included in this recall. Only products with serial numbers listed in the table below are subject to recall. Products that do not match those serial numbers are not affected. Please refer to the serial number for ultimate reference.

If you have purchased a Wybot Osprey 700 Max and/or Wybot S1 vacuum, please follow these steps:

Step 1:

Check whether your pool vacuum is subject to this recall and eligible for a replacement (check the model and serial number to see if your product is covered by the recall).

Step 2:

If you determine that you have purchased an affected product, please stop using it immediately and disconnect it from any power source. Place your Osprey 700 Max and/or S1 vacuum in a safe, dry location away from anything flammable or anything that can damage the vacuum. Do not place your vacuum in any trash or recycling bins.

Step 3:

You should contact Wybotics directly at safety@wybotpool.com or 1-888-991-5006 (available Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm PT.) to receive a free replacement product—a WYBOT C2 robotic pool vacuum. Wybotics will provide a free return label for consumers to send the recalled product back to Wybotics. Within 15 days of receiving the recalled pool vacuum, Wybotics will ship the replacement product.

The models included in this recall are certain variants of the Wybot Osprey 700 Max and Wybot S1. If you own one or both of these models, please follow the outlined steps above to confirm if your unit is impacted.  Only products with serial numbers listed in the table on the website are subject to recall.  Products that do not match those serial numbers are not affected.

02. Where can I find the serial number on my product?

The serial number is located inside the top cover.

03. What will I receive if my product is included in the recall?

Consumers will receive a free replacement product—a Wybot C2 robotic pool vacuum.

04. Is this recall coordinated with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)?

Yes. Wybotics is conducting this recall voluntarily in conjunction with the CPSC and has confirmed coordination with the U.S. CPSC to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

05. Can I continue using the product if it seems fine?

No. Even if the device appears to function normally, impacted units should not be used.
